That young man earned his diploma in the USA. That education and diploma had absolutely nothing to do with Mexico and the Mexican flag. There is a difference between nationality as an individual and a country. One is a place the other a human. If he wanted to honor Mexico for his diploma, he should have returned to Mexico and earned a Mexican diploma. He should never have been given the diploma. He came to the USA to get his diploma for a reason. If Mexico had offered him the quality of education he got in the USA, then he would have stayed in Mexico to earn his diploma.
